The location, the views, the garden, the house, the staff, the service – the whole experience was a delight.
A stylish, well run boutique hotel with stunning views from the poolside and gardens. We spent 7 nights here enjoying the wonderful scenery, restful setting and the super garden. Tucked away in the village of Fornalutx this place was just what we needed. We had a spacious garden room with private terrace. The bed was very comfortable, air con was efficient and linens were changed daily. The bathroom was huge and there was always plenty of hot water. The grounds are lush and well tended. The ‘garden lounge’ was so comfortable, with wonderful views of the mountains and down the valley. To order drinks or snacks we just picked up the phone and the waiter appeared! When we felt energetic there were good hikes up the hillsides and to viewpoints. The walking is good and we enjoyed visiting other villages and beaches by car within easy access of Fornalutx. The staff were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back. Thoroughly recommend the walk to Soller and back on market day to see a thriving town. – Erica, Tripadvisor
We stayed at the Hotel Can Verdera for 3 nights in early September, and all I can say is wow! The grounds of this hotel were like something out of a fairytale. Absolutely beautiful. Our room was clean, well furnished, and had french doors leading out to a patio overlooking the courtyard. The staff was very nice and Anna, the owner, was excellent- helping with a couple of special requests leading up to our trip and ensuring we had a wonderful stay. Breakfast was served in the courtyard each morning and was delicious, and we very much enjoyed having some drinks at the garden bar in the evening and enjoying the fabulous view. The town of Fornalutx is gorgeous and everything was in walking distance from the hotel (there is not much to do in town, but we liked the quiet, laid back atmosphere). If you are visiting, I would highly recommend a stay here! – Katie, Tripadvisor
We had an amazing stay at Can Verdera. Everything about the hotel was perfect…beautiful rooms, a lovely courtyard setting for breakfast and an amazing sun terrace. The staff were also very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome We would definitely stay here again. – Rachel, Tripadvisor
My family and I recently visited, and after staying a few days in Magaluf it was lovely to have a break in the hills. The staff greeted us warmly and throughout our experience offered us the best service whether it was by the pool drinks or ensuring there was ice cold water in our rooms in the evening. We even got a lift down to the Soiller Port one evening by the owner himself!! This was brilliant as there is only 1 taxi in the village! Every evening we enjoyed fabulous cocktails on the roof terrace which i believe no one else in the hotel knew about, so definitely try the garden terrace before or after dinner! Breakfast was perfect, with a variety of meats, cheeses, fruits, breads and pastries as well as fresh orange juice and the choice of eggs cooked all ways. The rooms were well equipped and clean every day. Overall it was one of the best hotel experiences and we would all return imminently!
We discovered Hotel Can Verdera 12 years ago and have returned several times, most recently in April this year. The hotel is beautiful, the bedrooms are a good size and very comfortable. The garden rooms have their own little terrace to relax outside. Breakfast is served in the courtyard when the weather is fine. We try to have breakfast in the courtyard all the time as it’s so relaxing out there. Anna, Bea and the other staff are all extremely helpful and kind. There are three levels to the hotel garden. The pool on the first level, fruit trees and a relaxation area on the second level and a garden lounge with bar on the third level overlooking the valley and the Tramuntana. Watching the sunset here as the mountains change to shades of orange and red is so relaxing. We met the owner, William, this year. He was so informative about his vision for the hotel and we think he has achieved what he wanted. A haven of tranquillity. We also met his son, Wiiliam who is taking over the reins, he was also extremely helpful and friendly. Fornalutx is a beautiful little town. An ideal base for hiking or exploring north west Mallorca and beyond. If you want night life and chaos, Can Verdera is not for you. If you want a romantic location, beautiful views, rest, relaxation and a feeling of being well looked after then Can Verdera is ideal. We will be making every effort to return in future. – Arthur, Tripadvisor
My husband and I met family members here for a very special getaway. Not only is the hotel wonderful, the gardens, food and service were all top notch! If you are looking for beautiful, relaxing vacation this is it!
Had four days at Can Verdera. Really didn’t want them to end. If you want to relax and work hard at doing nothing, this is the place to not do it. It has an air of class, it’s really laid back, really quiet and really comfortable. The bar at the top is simply stunning. Breakfast is great, there’s no restaurant for dinner; this is a good thing-it forces you out into Fornalutx, which has some great restaurants. Felicidades a todos. Y gracias.
A gorgeous hotel in a beautiful village in stunning surroundings! A warm welcome followed by fantastic hospitality throughout our stay. The hotel is stylish, elegant and cosy with great art. Anna was a fantastic host with recommendations for secret beaches and restaurants and even booking table reservations for us. Our stay would not have been the same without her. A huge thanks to all the lovely friendly staff at Can Verdera. – John&Tracy, Tripadvisor
